How Do I Become a More Conscious Consumer?

None of this material stuff made me happy, the clothes I bought were hanging in the closet because on my day off I used trainers to study, my future didn’t look any brighter because of any of it too.

I decided was time for a change. Stop setting crazy goals that I would postpone over and over. After a long time searching and trying to set up new routines, I feel much happier and fulfilled than before and I am not even halfway.

I believe to become a conscious consumer besides wanting good for our planet and its people, we also need to have our balance restored. To give out there, we have to give to ourselves too.

I also believe we need to know what we want in order to consume in a more healthy way, otherwise, we are back to same patterns.

1. Make small changes

Recycling the trash I could, and minimising my beauty products that were way too much.

2. Read more, watch more

The goal is to know more, so you can get solutions to your daily challenges easily. And you won’t feel so alone in this mission. There are tons of amazing people out there also caring for mother earth and human rights. I told someone I was into this lifestyle and was called a hipster and laughed at. Try not to judge them so quickly, just be patient and explain them, maybe they get inspired too. You cannot force others to get it, If you also once back in time didn’t know really exactly what consuming more consciously was about.

3. Get in touch

Do you know somebody who lives a more sustainable lifestyle? Get in touch with them. Change ideas, get some advice. You’ll feel more strength as you see as it’s not so easy but doable.

It’s good to have friends who have the same passion as you. Try to bond.

The important is that you know that to accomplish your life goals, you´ll need to implement daily healthy routines and when you notice, your goals are already acomplished.
