Down Under

Inching in darkness of her mind,

Searching, as light reaches her flushed face;

Squinting at the possibility of quitting, she took a step,

Towards the immovable path that wouldn't yield,

A void in her empty mind,

Will she succeed in failing?

Will she let the force take her?

Has she found the ground to get up?

She keeps failing until failure was all she knew,

Is failure accepting defeat at her composure?

She tries, an immovable rock;

Was it her will to breathe?

Determined, as she stomped the ground beneath;

She stood as the weight of her failures weighed her down;

She resisted, she struggled and refused to give up,

She slayed as she stood tall to be bogged down again.
